Soccer falls in OT

The St. Kate's soccer team returned to action for the first time in a week, and lost a hard fought match 1-0 to Concordia in overtime at St. Kate's field.

Coming into the game, the Wildcats and Cobbers had only surrendered a combined total of five goals, so it was no surprise that this match was a defensive struggle all afternoon.  After ninety minutes of play neither team had found a way to score and the teams headed to overtime.

Unfortunately for the Wildcats overtime was short lived as the Cobbers scored just over two minutes into the extra period.

St. Kate's is now 3-3-1 on the season, and 0-2 in conference play heading into Saturday's game at St. Mary's University.  Concordia improves to 7-0 on the season and 2-0 in MIAC play.
